As we age, it’s easy to evoke stereotypes and group seniors into certain categories. It’s important to remember, though, that senior care and safety is not one size fits all.
Centenarians are currently the fastest growing age group in the world. With more than 50,000 people 100 or older in the U.S., ways to keep seniors safe and healthy are more important than ever. Despite the common age bracket, these individuals still have varying needs.
Take Marbel Sawhill, a 102-year-old woman who lives in the Washington area. She continues to lead an active lifestyle with her own catering business and generous spirit. She recognizes the importance of exercise, whether it’s at work or the grocery store.
